Moikka! Today I'm sharing my project for Finnabair Brand Ambassador post. You can see the post here (link) with all the other fabulous projects. The theme this time was gold or silver.
When it comes to jewelry my definite preference is silver over gold. But when it comes to mixed media, I use both! For this shaker tag I decided to go mainly using gold to highlight the sun more, but I did add a little silver moon to it, too. The main reason favoring the sun this time was that quite some time ago I made a tag with a same kind of shaker dome inspired by moon and night (link).
I used different golden mediums while making the tag. The bottom layer is made using two colors of the Jewel Effect paste. I mainly used golden “Golden Dust” but added some warmth to it by mixing it with “Crushed Amber”. I applied these through a stencil on top of a cardstock which had tiny golden dots. On top I then added some painty touches using again two colors, Metallique “Gold Rush” and “Brass Hardware” to again to make the golden a bit warmer. To color the embellishments fitting for the golden tones I used “Vintage Gold” wax. The sun shape is cut from golden thick cardstock.
