Hello there! It's Christmas week and time to wind up. I'm scheduling blog posts normally running from today Monday to Friday and as it's the third whole week of the month, there's going to be a Trio in the end of the week. Last weekend we prepped for Christmas - made for example gingerbreads and date cakes and cleaned the whole apartment from ceiling to floor.
Even though we dusted from here and there, we didn't find any elves. We do have a loose floor molding that has been our elf door as long as kids have understood about elves, but no muddy footprints this year nor eaten cookies. Maybe it's got to do with the fact that as I write this the tree already has all the presents underneath it and the pre-teens are behind a closed door, doing their own things. But one can still make some elf ATCs to cherish the memory of those encounters.
For these elves I chose some vintage paper dolls from Tim Holtz Holiday pack and colored them using alcohol markers. Red for the hats and green for the jackets. I also used red and green patterned papers to give them a Holiday inspired background with white splashes. And there's some string binding all together - almost like "brown paper packages tied up with string".
I was thinking the Snow White dwarfs when adding the text stickers to these and considered those to be their names. Although they are not quite Grumpy, Sneezy and Sleepy - type names.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a pleasant week!
