Rolls of inspiration - Ihana-lehti

Hi there and happy May Monday! Can you believe it's almost summer already? Feels like it was just Christmas and New Year! But looking at the calendar, today is the 3rd of May and it means there's just a couple of weeks until June is here. Wow.

Here's something I created for the summer issue of Ihana-lehti, a Finnish craft magazine. You can see more about the publication in Finnish here (link) and here's more info on the subscription in English (link).

I call these thingies "inspiration rolls" but you could use them as a minialbum or word art piece or... The possibilities are endless. The rolls are made using fabric scraps and pieces of old book paper as the theme of the issue was recycling. The embellishments to hold the rolls close are made using broken jewelry and safety pins. "And those colors?", you might ask. The rolls are painted using acrylic paints but the fabrics and the paper scraps are colored using crepe paper!

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a sunny start to May!
