Hi love - Sizzix

The weather here in Finland has been quite bizarre. One day we get sunshine and snow on the next! And it's May for crying out loud. So, even though it seems that the weather doesn't know it's late spring and soon summer, I made some summer cards using Sizzix dies.

One of my favorite die sets from the chapter 1 was and is the Thinlits Geo Floral Frame die set. The thin little frame, the lovely leaves and blooms - such a great combo! I used the same die in two ways in these two cards.

First I had the idea to use the frame as a little window, letting you take a peek to the inside of the card. I kept the front quite fresh and without mediums, but added a layered acrylic monoprint to inside the card. You can see some of the pattern through the vellum, but better still from the openings made by the letters. Those are cut using "Alphanumeric Classic Lower" die set

The other card is made using the acrylic, layered print as the background, adding the frame straight on top. Some of the pattern in the print is made using a self-made stencil with the "Bouquet" die and Making Essentials Stencil Film pack.

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a spring-like Thursday!
