Deer shaker card - Prima Marketing

Have you noticed the "Holiday Craft Festivities" series in Prima's blog? Yesterday's post was about shaped and shaker cards. If you haven't already, you need to take a look! Here's the link (link)! The post has many sweet shaped cards and a couple of shakers, too. One of those is something I made using Finnabair goodies. Yes, Finnabair mediums and embellishments!

Mixed media doesn’t always have to be super messy and you don’t always have to go all out when using Finnabair supplies! I tried to show that with this card. I’ve used five mediums while making this shaker card, but still it looks quite clean, at least to my eye! The background cardstock is painted with Sparks and gives a kind of glitter cardstock look. Then there’s White Heavy Gesso for the snow inside the shaker part, silver wax and white Art Sugar for the stars and the snow flake and last but not leas the beads for the shaker part.

I used the tiny beads in my shaker, but you have a lot to choose from in the Finnabair line. Going from smallest grain to the biggest, you can use Finnabair glitter sets, Micro Beads and Glass Beads. Or better still, you can mix the three and create an unique mixture of your own!

If you still are looking for a Christmas card idea or even better, have already finished with your make, you can check this Sizzix gallery (link) and either find an idea or share yours!

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a lovely Thursday!
