Ho ho ho and Merry Christmas! ...um, no, not just yet. But the Christmas Eve is drawing nearer and I begin to have that holiday feeling already. One of the things that gets me into Christmas spirit are the cards. Oh how I lovely to have actual, real mail and Christmas is the best time for that! Here's some cards done for Canvas Corp Brands.
These vintage styled cards are made with 7Gypsies "Santa's Journey" line. I'm not a vintage style crafter, but these papers together with some Canvas Corp details, make it easy to make homey cards with a warm feeling!
All of the cards follow somewhat similar design. There's a bigger image from the "Santa's Journey" line and then one bigger embellishment as the vocal point. The card base in all of these is a half of the 4x6" File Folder. On top of that I stamped some script in white and then layered a piece of a 12x12" paper on top. The final touch in all the cards is also similar - I added white splashes with Tattered Angels "Chalk" chalkboard mist to get that snowy feeling.
Some of the cards have a piece of burlap in them. To me, that's a very Christmas-like material making my thoughts turn to the big sack Santa has. It also has a lovely, earthy feeling and the color of the natural burlap is nice and warm. The decoration in the cards also include for example some studs from 7Gypsies and red cord from Canvas Corp.

Ah these are just beautiful Riikka....Love the addition of the burlap too and the colours are wonderful. I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and that 2015 is a fabulous year for you.You are flying <3
