Haunt It cards - Canvas Corp Brands

It seems that today is "World Card Making Day"! So happy card making day to everyone! This post is then just in time as I'm showing the mixed media Halloween cards I created for Canvas Corp Brands and that were already blogged in the company blog (link)!

As you may know, I love to layer and use different mediums in my crafts so these cards are no exception. These cards are made using the new "Haunt It" paper collection by Canvas Cord. I loved the "Haunt It" sampler paper for it provided me with the perfect vocal points to the cards - no stamped images needed, just a pair of scissors! And the one 12x12" paper goes a long way! I decided have all my cards connected to witches somehow so there's the cauldron, the broom, the hat and of course the flying witch, too.

I used different Tattered Angels products in the cards as well as black and white gesso from the brand new Finnabair series. The stencils are by The Crafter's Workshop. I kept my color scheme "Halloween" so there's black, white, orange and yellow. The black gesso provides a dark background for two of the cards, one is stamped and the fourth has a misted pattern in there. Even though the papers have a pattern of their own, you can still customize it with a imprint of your own.

For the paper layers I mixed in some regular Canvas Cop papers as the color schemes match. You can find the candy corn yellow in the papers as well as many black and white designs.

These cards are easy and quick to make and everyone is unique! Even though the cards have similar construction the mixed media touches bring something personal on each one. So, "witch" one is your favorite?

Ps. The turn of the month also means new challenges in challenge blogs and Scrap Around The World is no exception! Have you been to the blog lately and seen the new fabulous moodboard designed by Rachael Funnel? Click here to take a look - I know you'll like it!
