Colorful start to the week! The colors of the trees around here resemble quite well this card. The trees are blazing with orange, yellow and red and I love it! Yesterday I blogged a layout with the same technique but a bit softer color scheme. They both are done for Epiphany Crafts.
Like in the layout, first I made the mixed media style background using a lot of different mediums and layered them on top of another. Then I taped two pieces of masking tape to the background and adhered the butterfly epoxies in between the tapes. A quick coat of gesso, removing the masking tapes while the paint was still wet and cleaning the epoxy shapes left me with this. I then added some doodling to the edge of the gessoed area. It's like a little lace going from side to side.
