CSI #43 - Kuori / Shell

This was my page for the CSI challenge #43. I just loved the color scheme! Black and white and the yellow and greens - wow.

My page is about my older daughter who has really bloomed this year. She was quite a quiet and timid person in the company of others, and now she's really talkative, courageous and silly. I just love how her wonderful, charming personality shows to others, too, not to the family alone. The title is "out of the shell".

Evidence: Damask (patterned paper), frame (sort of by those brakets), foliage (stamps), patterned brad, flourishes (that little piece of patterned paper "Lovely"), black and white patterned paper (the background) Testimony: "Use an older photo and tie the past with the present". The photo isn't that old, but an older one and the journaling is about how my girl was in the past and how she acts now. I think that photo perfectly illustrates her, she's acting as a tortoise in that shot.

Oh wow Riikka! loved this one the first time I saw it over at CSI and still do! You really do have an expert eye for design and placing everything in the right places. Smashing page! xoxo

Haha! I thought she was pretending to be a turtle with the basket on her back, hence the title. But isn't it great when you can see your child bloom and become more self-confident in a positive way? I just LOVE that! Great layout too! Love all your little details.

...sorry, just read the last sentence of your story - about her being a tortoise! I can totally see that!
