Thankful autumn

 

Moikka! Still in the autumn mood today, but something different tomorrow, promise! On Monday I shared some step by step photos of two elements - berry branches and wooden boards. I also mentioned that they were meant for an article at Craft Stamper magazine, which didn't go through due to magazine seizing publishing. I also said that I had two project with the elements in use. Yesterday I shared a little cards using the elements and today I share this more complex project, a canvas of sorts. 

As the steps have a bit of a natural theme, I used a wooden board as my base. I stamped some leaves on top, colored some and then added the Paper Texture Paste through the same stencil I used for the wooden boards. On top I then made a composition out of the boards, the berry branches and some stamped elements. The stamps are by Carabelle Studio.

Hello autumn

 

Hello there! Yesterday I shared some step photos and wrote that I'll be sharing two projects with the elements I did in the step photos. Today I'm sharing a card using the berry branches and boards and tomorrow a canvas of sorts. 

Like I mentioned earlier, these projects were made to an article for Craft Stamper. But before their publishing date came, the magazine seized publishing altogether. Now looking at the card, I can see the composition is a bit off, but I still find the branches rather fun detail.

Find the good way - Craft Stamper

Hi there again! Here's another piece from the Masterclass article about the glass beads. Yesterday I shared the more complex version and today this less layered card. Although, I managed to add four of the five techniques I thought of in this piece, too! 

Although the bigger piece hold all five, I think you can spot at least one of the techniques better from this one than the previous I shared. Maybe even two as here they are more in the center of attention as in the project I shared yesterday.

Honey blooms - Craft Stamper

Hi there and happy Tuesday! It seems that the sunny days are finally here! It's been really cold this spring, but finally some warmth and sun is in sight! This project matches the sunny weather but it's again an oldie. I made this one for an article at the late Craft Stamper magazine. It was a Masterclass piece for using glass beads in a craft project. 

I seldom work with yellow and am more drawn to blues and turquoises, a cooler color palette. But somehow this article and piece just craved sunny tones! I guess I was making it during spring as then I usually have an urge to all things yellow. You can see all the five techniques I thought of in this project. See the Beauty - Craft Stamper magazine

Hello there! Yesterday I blogged my "bigger project" for an article about using magazines as craft material and today it's time for the "smaller one". Both of the projects were made for a Craft Stamper article that never got published as the magazine seized publishing. 

Yesterday's project had four of the five techniques I put together for the article. This tag has three. The image transfer, which I mentioned yesterday, originally invented by Birgit Koopsen and then solid color building.  The third one is the character - a technique used by Linda Brun and Riikka Fransila among others. 

While yesterday's project was quite dimensional with the crumbled texture and the blooms, this tag is flat. So whether you prefer dimension or flat, you can use magazines in your crafts!

Northern Magic - Craft Stamper magazine

Hi there and happy Tuesday! Today I'm blogging the first piece in an article I made for Craft Stamper but that never got published due to magazine seizing publication. It was a masterclass piece with five techniques using same item. I chose magazines and advertisements as my material. I share the other piece tomorrow. 

In this ring I've used four of the five techniques I came up with how you could use magazines. And I use it as "thought about" rather than I've made the techniques. One is just simple texture, second colored surfaces, third my beloved tape transfer and fourth in this project is based on another transfer technique, who's creator I actually know. It's the image transfer technique with Gelli Arts printing plate by Birgit Koopsen. I had her consent to use the technique in the article. Fly to daydreaming - Craft Stamper

Hi there! Yesterday I shared a project I made for Craft Stamper's Masteclass artcile about book pages. It was a simper tag and today I share the more layered project - a little canvas. 

I really enjoy using book pages in my mixed media. I love how different different fonts look and how that effects the overall feeling of the project. It's also fun to play with the different fonts and include more than one style to a piece.

For the first I went to become best friends - Craft Stamper

You might have noticed that I'm going through my drafts and slowly but surely blogging them. I have older published projects there, there's some DT projects for fairs or samples for new products and also random projects I've done along the years but missed posting them eventually. 

Today and tomorrow I'm sharing projects that were in a publication. This little tag as well as a canvas I'm sharing tomorrow were made for a Masterclass article in Craft Stamper. This time the topic of the article was book paper. Like always, the article held five techniques using book paper and I used same techniques while doing these two projects. 

For this little tag I recall using two or three of those techniques. At least one of them was "dada poetry" of sorts - hiding other words from the book page but those that make up a poem or a thought. For this it ended up being "For the first I went to become best friends". Not the smoothest sentence, but you probably pick up a story from it!

Butterfly machine

 

What kind of sound this machine would make? What do you think? Silent flutter or creaking gears? Maybe Hama bead gears would keep a softer tone than actual metal ones! 

This is my second piece for the Hama bead article at Craft Stamper that never came as the magazine ceased publication and closed. It's such a shame as I really liked the magazine and found it inspiring! 

For the card I used four techniques out of the five and for this piece I used all the five. You can see the techniques better in the first post showing the five little tags.

Hello again! Yesterday I shared some tags I had made for an article piece in Craft Stamper showing five different techniques using Hama beads. I then promised to share two actual projects with them as well - and here's the first one. A little card using the beads! 

If you look closely and compare this with the tags, you see that I used four of the five techniques in this. I also added a butterfly colored with warm tones. The butterfly is a Art by Marlene stamp from Studio Light.
