Hello! It's a new month but old schedule as Friday means a new process video on my YouTube channel. This time it's an art journal spread using something I've been hoarding for a while. Yes, I say hoarding, not stashing as I haven't had the heart to use it before!
I start the spread by painting a sheet of cardstock with acrylics and then adding a lace-like pattern on top with a stencil. But I don't do it the way you might first think - adding paint trough the stencil - but instead I use frottage. You can see me in action in the process video on my YouTube channel here (link).
Like I say in the video, this spread got its name out of the focal point and the journaling strip. Or, to be honest, I read the strip and how had said it and then starting thinking about his famous book and realized that by adding the character to the typewriter, that would be a metamorphose. Either the machine changing into a person or the other way around. Maybe it's 19th century AI? Lol.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful start to the new month and a crafty weekend!
