Moikka moi! It's Friday again and that means a new process video! Today I have an art journal spread to share. It's made for and using Paper Garden supplies. You can see the supplies listed a bit later in the post.
The main image of the page is from a printable called "Moonlight Kisses". That kit has quite an intensive color scheme with beautiful dark blue. But for a spring like page I didn't want as dark color palette but instead chose to go with a lighter, forget-me-not styled palette. As you can see from the video below, the background is done using inks and acrylic paint, layered.
As you might have noticed before, I love to layer! Here I started with some left over sticker sheets, then added some label stickers, then old book page, lace, mounted stickers, printable... if I'm not counting the mediums. It's fun to add different textures and feels to a page. What I've learned in the long run, you should always start the background treatment a bit bigger than you think you need as otherwise you may end up covering everything. Not that it matters, though, you've had fun creating those layers anyway!
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
