Moikka moi! Last Saturday I kept a Facebook live on my blog's FB page. If you were unable to attend the live while it was happening, no worries as I now have the recording for you! It's embedded here in the post but can also be found from my YouTube channel (link) along with older recordings and a whole bunch of process videos.
During the live I made a little rusty rocket. I used a ready rocket shaped canvas base and added elements on top and then turned the whole thing black using black gesso. After a quick dry I then painted the rocket with metallic paints and finished it with a silver colored wax, giving a nice contrast between the warm background tones and the cool highlights.
As you could see, this time the live was a rather quick one. But it was such a fun, yet simple project! The biggest effect, of course comes from the basic shape of the canvas. When I saw it on a craft store, I knew I wanted to do a live using the base. Only when I was home I read that the mini canvases were actually magnets, a bonus! So now we have three rusty rockets on our fridge.
I do mention some of the materials during the live, but if you want to see them in a list form, please see the announcement post (link). You can find more photos of the sample project there, too.
Thank you for stopping by today!
