Autumn jar cards - Sizzix

Ah, autumn! When walking to school and work yesterday I smelled the scent of autumn the first time - wet grass, a hint of mushroom and decay as leaves have started to fall. Also, my mother brought us the first big bunch of apples from the winter apple trees.

I made these cards earlier for this month but thought that the timing seems to be perfect as the harvest season is getting nearer or already happening. The idea to these came from the Sizzix "Garden Florals" die set with the jar in it. As autumn is the time for jams and picked things, the jar seemed to be perfect for autumn, too, although it has a lot of flowers as well. From those florals I picked the ones that would fit to the season and especially wanted to use the berry like blooms.

I used another summer styled die set in these cards, called "Meadow Leaves". Well, naturally just by changing the colors you can get the fresh, green leaves looking autumn like. Just what I did with these cards. Instead of colored cardstock from the "Making Essential cardstock pack" I used inks to create the colorful backgrounds. If you want to see how the cards came into being, please see the video underneath!

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful autumn day!
