Are you familiar with the Art Daily cards? They come in the set with the Art Daily album and have inspirational assignments or seeds for thought. This fast journal page was a result of one of those. The card is #45 which guides you to splash some tea to a page and go from there.
I splashed the tea, let it air dry and then tried to see what the smudges and the page wanted to be. I started seeing a freckled face among the pools of tea so I grabbed my pencil and sketched her up.
This was really a fun exercise! Splashing the tea at random was fun and then trying to see some shapes there. The procedure reminds me of finger painting as well - just randomly painting on top of a sheet of paper and then trying to make something out of those.
