Hello hello and happy Friday! How's your week been? Busy or creative or busy creating? I'm slowly getting back to creative groove after the Creative World at Frankfurt. But today I want to share this tag with you I created using Sizzix dies. You can find these and much more at Sizzix UK site here (link). There's for example a collection of Valentine's ideas (link). In a few days time I'm also going to share some Valentine's ideas.
You may have noticed, that I've been intrigued by tea tones lately. It seems still to continue and I'm drawn to kraft, tea and old paper colored items. I used green cardstocks to die cut the evergreens but otherwise went with browns and whites in the making. My goal was to make a winter tag. Not something that's Christmas-like but more fitting to January and February when there's still snow on the ground in Finland and the ever increasing light makes the drifts sparkle.
I used a tag as my base and layered a birch wood piece on top. The tree trunks are cut using the "Branched Birch" die. On top I then made a composition consisting of a chipboard snowflake cut using "Ice Flake" die and evergreens and pine cones cut with "Funky Festive" die set. I inked the edges of the greenery and other items as well with black and brown ink to get that faded, grungy look.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a lovely start to the weekend!
