Good luck card - Sizzix

Hi there and good luck to you all! There's nothing wrong to wish that everyday, right? We all can use luck! Here's a lucky card I made playing with some new Sizzix goodies. You can see the latest additions here (link) and if you are interested about the felt pens and washi you can see there in the picture, try this link instead (link) about the Essentials.

I wrote about new goodies and all in this card is actually relatively new! The cardstock I used is from the Essentials (link) and the border of the card is done using washi tape from the set. The watercolor looking background for the flowers is actually done using the felt pens (link) belonging to the Essentials as well. Now you've read the "Essentials" quite a few times, so maybe I'll introduce them. Sizzix has released a selection of supplies that are essential to making things. The collection includes paper, fabric and felt but also mediums like embossing powder and felt pens.

But back to that background! I first drew with the pens to a sleek paper and then added the Blending Solution from Ranger on top. This caused the pens to react and mix and made up a watercolor looking effect. I then cut this paper as well as the teal cardstock using the Stacked Baroque dies.

The focal point of the card is a bunch of flowers, cut from the Essential cardstock with Funky Floral dies. The text to the card is done using a stamp and a bit altered die cut "lucky" from Shadow Script set. I just cut the y out from both of the shadow and the script. With all the flowers, changing the text a bit, this could be a Mothers Day card as well!

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a sweet Wednesday!
