Delightful Midsummer Night's Eve! A couple of days I go I shared these cards over my Instagram already promising a step by step instructions to these. So today I share the cards and also written steps how I created them. The cards are made using mediums now available at Michaels.
Step 1. Cut an ATC sized card (2½x3½") out of patterned paper. I chose a rose pattern to repeat the embellishments coming on top. If the pattern is too vivid, paint a layer of gesso on top to even out the colors and make the card pastel looking.
Step 2. Add a dimensional layer with Modeling Paste and a stencil. I used a lace patterned stencil but any stencil with small design will do. Be careful if you continue straight away or let the layer dry for a while.
Step 3. Paint a streak of Soft Gloss Gel to the card and then sprinkle Micro Beads on top.
Step 4. Add the main embellishments - die cut some leaves out of a piece of patterned papers and add them together with roses and thread to the cards. Use regular glue to adhere or 3D Gloss Gel.
Step 5. Add some more Soft Gloss Gel gently around the rose in two, three places and sprinkle Mica Flakes to those places.
Step 6. Finish the cards with a couple of pearls and a stamped thought. Stamp the text to a piece of white cards stock, trim and add to the card. Also draw a frame around the card using pencil.
Thank you for your visit today! If you wish to get one of the cards, the drill is same as always, please send me an email and I'll mail a card for you. Wishing you a sunny and sweet Midsummer Night!
