Hi there! How are you today? I have something special to share with you today - it's a double guest piece! As I'm not a part of the regular Artists Live team, I was honored and happy to be invited to take part in a guest appearance in the Our Mixed Media Moods. What is Our Mixed Media Moods? It's a collaboration between DeeDee Catron and Jenn Engle and the goal is to inspire and provide exciting tutorials and videos. There's a challenge, too, so you can join in the fun! The linky tool is here (link) at DeeDee's blog.
Above is the inspiration board, the challenge. I immediately was drawn to the upper middle photo which reminded me about alcohol inks and a technique I've been using every now and then. That settled the background part but then I needed to think what to make and what other details to include to the piece. The right bottom corner photo gave me an idea of ATCs and the twine and the butterflies took care of the details.
Underneath is my contribution video to the challenge. You can see the links to all other videos in the description part of the video.
You can see the process to make the marble, splotchy looking background in the video. I've used the same technique with mists, too. What took me by surprise was how the white Ecoline worked. Underneath is two detail shots of the background without the top layers.
If you'd like to swap one of these or just to receive one, please send me a mail. You can see the address from the sidebar.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you a lovely day!

Your atc's are beautiful ♡ I was wondering what colour of alcohol inks you used. Thank you :)
Yes, one is yours - thank you for the mail! Already inside an envelope :)
Thank you Darcie! I used Pitch Black, Slate, Mushroom and Espresso. :)
Ihania.
Love the composition of your projects. Just stunning.
