Hello lovelies! Today I'm sharing my page made for the Prima BAP challenge. The sketch was really inspiring with the use amount of white space. My layout is a bit fuller, but still has the space there. The topic is my younger daughter, who enjoys tremendously to play daddy's electric violin.
After chosing the papers, I then combined the two pieces and started adding washi tape to the seam. After that I added gesso through a Prima stencil and then continued with stamping. I also added Prima chalk through another stencil, drew a few circular lines with a pencil and splashed some black mist to the background. Using quite small pieces of patterned paper, I then layered the background for the photo and lastly added the embellishment.
Then I noticed that some machine sewing would be just the thing. As I just had glued and taped everything in place, I was pretty sure that trying to actually sew to the piece would ruin it. So I remembered a trick I once saw - punching little holes and drawing on them. This technique worked like a charm! I punched the tiny holes using a needle and then doodled the lines using a white gelly rolly pen. Hands up if you would have known right away that the stitches are fake! I know I would have been fooled!
Thank you for taking a look! Have a great Friday and weekend!

Hei! Aiheena on nuorempi neiti, josta on valtavan ihanaa soittaa isin sähköviulua.
Toimii! Vai olisitko heti huomannut yläkuvasta, etteivät ompeleet ole aidot? Minua ne ainakin hämäävät.
Kiitos käynnistä! Mukavaa perjantaita ja iloista viikonloppua!
