Skissedilla #177 Far / Father


Tällainen sivu syntyi uusimman Skissedillan luonnoksen innoittamana. Aluksi ajattelin lisätä taustan päälle sitä sun tätä, mutta sitten tällainen simppeliratkaisu näytti parhaimmalta. Sivussa ei ole kuviopaperin papera, vaan ainoastaan misti/muste kerroksia, leimailua ja kuva. Otsikko on Thickersejä ja journaling on tyttären ideoima. "Isi on suuri, isillä on parta ja isi on kiva." Otsikko tuli laitettua ruotsiksi, kun jotenkin se miellytti enemmän silmää ja oli iskevämpi kuin suomenkielinen.

This is my page to the newest sketch in Skissedilla. First I thought to add layers of patterned paper on top of the background but then decided to keep this one simple. So there are only layers of misting and ink in the background. The title is made with Thickers and the journaling is done by my 3,5-year old daughter. "Daddy is big, daddy has a beard and daddy is nice." I used Swedish in the title, because the word appealed my eye more than the Finnish version. Our daughters are bilingual, they speak Swedish as well as Finnish.

    This is absolutely wonderful Riikka! love how you kept it simple with the fabulous mised background. Finnish-Swedish rings such an old-wordly feel in Swedish-Swedish ears. Especially the Helsinki vocabulary is so quaint. Wish you a really great weekend. xox

      Thank you Eila <3 Actually our daughters refer my husband as "pappa" but I didn't like the visual side of it, either, so I decided to go with "far". And it does have a different rang to it in my ears too.
