One View - Prima BAP January

Hello and lovely Saturday! Here's a page I did for the January Prima BAP challenge. The sketch was really inspiring, I especially loved the little cluster at the side.

I chose to go with a soft photo and thus used a bit less mixed media in the background than usual. I first added a few touches of mist and then stamped with a doily stamp using the chalk edgers as ink. I layered several pieces of patterned paper underneath the photo, added one Prima flower cut in two and then scattered Sugar Dots, crystals and brads across the page. The journaling of the page is about the view we have living in "the penthouse", the 7th floor.

Thank you for taking a look!

Your work is so beautiful! What do you use as your base paper for the mixed media that you use? Your layouts don't look rippled as many of others do. Again, so pretty, and thanks for sharing this tutorial with us!

Thank you Betsy :")

98% of the time I'm using just patterned paper on my background. Or rather patterned cardstock as most of the scrapbooking papers are heavier nowadays. Like in this one, I just used the Prima paper as the background. Sometimes the pages ripple quite much when I work with them but you can straighten them a little bit up with just curling the paper to the other way or putting it under a weight.

But I guess the main reason why they don't look rippled is that I edit my photos, trying to straighten ripples and make the lines straight again :D
