Page Draft Christmas Sketch Release

Hello lovlies! I was so happy and honored when lovely Em Stafrace asked me to be one of the super talented bunch of people to create a few pieces to her fabulous reveal of the Page Draft Christmas Sketch Release. She asked us if we could go with the traditional red-green-white color scheme but could decide the hue of the colors. So I went with the scheme with a twist. Instead of using bright fire engine red I used pink and instead of forest green I went with minty. Underneath is two layouts I made using the drafts, which one you prefer?

Here's the first one of the two. I used the sketch number one for this (scroll down to see the sketches) but instead of three pictures went with one. The photo is actually taken during the summer, but it fitted the subject - crafting for Christmas. Each year I try to find projects that the girls and me can do together for presents. It's fun to craft together and even more fun to give those little things as gifts for friends and family.

The background is done with the Gellyplate and on top I have stamped, inked and doodled. I tried to get some Christmas feel to the page without going too traditional and seasonal. So I used a bit of bling and stars.

Please, scroll further down for additional detail pictures and the other layout.

And here's the other one - made with the sketch number four. The quote and the title together say it all - this season is the time of joy and it's important to tell people how much they mean to us. The picture in the layout is taken with a remote control one day when I was tickling the girls.

I used masking fluid to make the swirls and dots in the background. I put the masking fluid first, let it dry, mist the background with green and then rubbed to fluid off. Inspired by the circular photo in the sketch, I used many circular elements in my page - like the sticker arches, flair buttons and washers.

Thank you for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day!
