Around the world

Tällainen sivu löytyy heinäkuun Scrap365 lehdestä. Ideana oli esitellä lehden tekijätiimin sekä vierailijoiden kotimaita. Oma sivuni ei nyt ole ehkä se paras matkailumainos, mutta samalla hetkellä kun galleriasta luin, alkoi päässäni soida Trio Niskalaukauksen laulu "Kova maa", jossa on A-P Sarjannon sanat.

Koska kuvissa oli sänkipeltoa, piti taustalle ehdottomasti saada olkea. Se ei ollutkaan mikään helppo juttu, mutta onneksi yhdestä askartelukaupasta löytyi olkea myös sesongin ulkopuolella.

Lehdestä ilmestyy tällä viikolla uusi numero, jossa on jälleen kerran vaikka ja mitä! Gallerioista löytyy hienoja, inspiroivia töitä ja lehdessä on myös mielenkiintoisia tutoriaaleja. Minultakin löytyy taas jotain - paperia on taivuteltu suuntaan jos toiseenkin.

This layout can be found from the July issue of Scrap365. The idea in the gallery was to showcase or tell something about the home country of the people making the layouts. My page isn't the prettiest advertisement, but I guess that wasn't the point, either. As soon as I read the gallery theme, I had this "Kova maa / Rough land" song playing in my head. It was from a band called "Trio Niskalaukaus" and the lyrics are made by A-P Sarjanto. The lyrics go freely translated: "Cold and harsh land, my home land, my father's (ancestor's) land, rough nation and rough land, my own land, hear it sing". 

Because the photos I wanted to use were taken from a frost bitten field, I just had to make the background out of straw. That wasn't an easy task trying to find straw in the spring - it's not the season for those in the craft stores. Luckily I found it and weaved the background.

The newest issue of the magazine is going to be out this week. Another fantastic issue, I might add. Great galleries, lovely tutorials! I also have contributed to it - you can find bend paper in a curious form there.
