Once Upon...30

Once Upon a Sketch -haasteen luonnos ja aihe osui sekä upposi. Luonnos oli hyvin samantyylinen, mitä tulee itse tehtyä ja aihe sopi tähän hetkeen kuin nenä päähän. Aiheena oli syntymäpäivät ja oma 3 sekä 0 lähestyy. Kuten tarinointiin naputtelin, 30 aiheuttaa paljon vähemmän stressiä kuin 29. Hassua.

Maalailtiin tuossa päivänä muutamana lasten kanssa vesiväreillä sellaisille papereille, johon ensin oltiin piirretty vahaliidulla. K teki niin upeita juttuja, että äiti innostui ja inspiroitui tekemään skräppipohjan. Tosin omasta pohjastani ei tullut ollenkaan niin hienoa, kuin tytön maalauksista. Olisi pitänyt taas tehdä yhteistyötä.

Päälle asettelin sitten erilaisia kuviopapereita. Kuvan alla oleva mustetausta on tehty Emmon pitämällä mustekurssilla naapurin väreistä. "Ota nyt äkkiä, tästä tuli näin upee!" oli kommentti, joten pakkohan se oli oma paperi lykätä lähes toisen syliin. Ja hieno tuli tästäkin. Kiitos vaan vieruskaverille!

Koristeita rykelmöin luonnoksen mukaan jonkun verran. Siellä on ISstä saatua ACn rosettia, krakleerausmaalilla maalattua lintua, itse tehtyä perhoslätkää ja Echo Parkin paperista leikattu Viewmaster-kiekko. Otsikko on Thickerseillä ja teksti naputeltu kirjoituskoneella.

Once Upon a Sketch - challenge was spot on for me this time. The sketch was really inspiring and the topic as current as it can be. I'm turning 30 in next month and was thinking of making some kind of page about it, so the challenge couldn't have been better! The journaling translates "The big 3 and 0 is nearing. Turning 29 was far a greater challenge than turning 30. Funny." 

We did some art work some time ago with the kids using crayons and water colours. I was inspired by the works of my 3-year-old daughter and created that background then. Although I have to say, that my painting and drawing is not half as great than hers. I should have asked her do the painting, like I did in this page.

On top of the background I layered some of my favourite scrapbooking papers at the moment, ILS, 7 Dots Studio and ColorConspiracy. The piece where the photo is mounted is made in an ink workshop held by  Emmo. 

I gatherded the embellishments as a cluster, like they were in the sketch. I used for example a rosette by American Crafts, a bord painted with crackle paint, self-made butterfly plate and a View Master disc cut from a paper by Echo Park. The title is Thickers and the journaling is typed using my mum's old type writer.
